Epidemiologist
BioSignia markets health information tools and chronic disease
modeling tools to disease management companies and other sectors
of the health care market. The Science team at BioSignia works to
bring informatic solutions to health care problems, particularly
in developing predictive models of chronic disease onset and
progression. These models utilize patented technologies and are
comprehensive in terms of the disease risk factors considered.
These are incorporated into web-based tools that allow customers
to identify patients at high risk, to stratify populations for
intervention, and to educate patients of their disease risks and
ways to avoid them.
BioSignia is seeking an epidemiologist as a new member to the
Science team. This person will work closely with various
stakeholders to determine market trends and needs and to build
appropriate technological solutions. The incumbent should be
passionate about improving the diet and lifestyle of clients to
reduce chronic disease risks. The candidate will construct disease
models using extensive reviews of the epidemiologic literature.
This scientist will also work with the web design team to
implement these solution and with the Sales team in sales and
marketing efforts. We are looking for a person with basic
statistical competence who is entrepreneurial and creative in
character, can solve problems, and can work with a variety of
teams in a small company environment.
The applicant will have a PhD in Epidemiology or a Masters with
experience. Competence in SAS is useful. A passion for and track
record in chronic disease prevention and health promotion is a
strong recommendation.
